5 for Friday

I'm trying to recap my week in my head.......I'm not really coming up with anything spectacular to share. How did I let a week go by without some sort of greatness? I'm sure it's out there, it's just not coming to my mind right now. All I seem to think about are things I need to get done. Not goals, per se. That's a Monday post, just things that a normal person has time for and yet I can't seem to get it done.

#1. I need a haircut and I need to cover up these gray hairs! Redic! Once upon a time back when I worked in the Perfect little town of Fairhope, AL, I was lucky enough to have the best hair dresser ever. I had perfect hair and it was Chocolate Mocha in color. Fast forward to 2012 and I never have time to get a hair cut. I don't work anywhere close to my hair lady and my hair is no longer the perfect shade of Mocha! SMH!

#2. I have to take my kids school shopping. School starts back in 10 days! OMG, where did the summer go? I'm lucky in that my older son is so impatient and so self-wealthy, he purchased most of his own wardrobe. I am also counting my blessings that the mini-versions of me have some items they can wear from last year. Gavin has enough shorts to last a life time. He may be going in "skins" if I don't get some shirts bought. And Sydnee has shirts I found on sale at Aeropostale earlier this summer. She must have pants! Destiny needs everything. I better get busy. Can I get someone to fund this please?

#3. I need a plan to feed the troops. I made dinner last night and the kids asked why I was feeding them a real meal, AGAIN. Two nights in a row. Im glad they don't expect much out of me. But, I use to be a domestic goddess (lol!) and I am letting my skillz diminish.

I have figured out that I am excited about 2 things this week. So let's talk about those below:

#4. I am excited about new things happening for my blog. None of which that I care to share right now (sorry). I will say though that I am so happy with the response my blog has received in it's short little life span. I love all of the support!

#5. I am excited and nervous that tomorrow I will be running my longest distance yet. In my mind 10 miles is what is going to set me apart as a long distance runner. If I can run 10 miles, I could potentially run around the world, lol! But in all seriousness. In my mind, tomorrow is my make or break day! Wish me luck!

I promise to have a real post soon!

  1. Good Luck tomorrow, Holly! I know you can do it! Feel the wind in your hair as you pound out those 10 miles!
