So, I am starting this blog to keep track of all my running adventures and as a place to post recipes and anything cupcake related that I can find. 
I started running back in December, 2011. I recruited about 10 people to start the Couch to 5K group led by the Sole 2 Soul Sisters in Daphne, AL. Everything was going along fine, and I was lucky enough to make new friends and develop a strong group of girls to run with at home too. At about week 7, I noticed pain in my hip. I tried to ignore it, not knowing any better. I finally gave in and went to see Dr. Justin Southall in Fairhope. He helped me for 6 weeks, and then I was finally released to start back running and going back to the gym. 
Now that Im back to running, I finally finished my first 5k (running the whole time) and was really happy with my time 31:58, which is fast for me (Im more of a turtle, than a hare, lol!) Now Im working on building miles and strength..... this is my journey!
